Grunge was a style of music that started in the 80's mostly near Seattle. Grunge songs consisted of mostly lyrics filled with angst and distorted guitar parts and wild drum beats. Mix in a bass and you have grunge. It is a mixture of punk, rock, and glam metal. The members of the band were kids that didn't care what they wore or looked like.
