Computer Virus In computer security technology, a virus is a self-replicating program that spreads by inserting copies of itself into other executable codes or documents. A computer virus behaves in a way similar to a biological virus, which spreads by inserting itself into living cells. Viruses can confuse computer users. Confusion can have serious consequences. Many viruses are intentionally destructive. They can wipe out data, change programs ability to function properly, etc. A person can buy software protection against viruses. It is important that any downloads be virus checked before executing and don't open any attachments from someone you don't know. Attachments often carry viruses and you let them loose as soon as you open the attachment. |
