Amoxil is a semisynthetic oral penicillin. The amoxil antibiotic, with a generic name of amoxicillin, is used to treat a wide variety of infections, including: gonorrhea, middle ear infections, skin infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, and infections of the genital and urinary tract.
